Magnum Dynalab ST-2
$119.

This FM Antenna receives distant FM stations from all directions!

A more powerful FM Antenna than any single element dipole antenna, the ST-2 vertical antenna is probably one of the best things ever to happen to FM listeners in urban and fringe reception areas alike.

Concentrating its reception “focus” only on the horizontal plane, the ST-2 FM Antenna is capable of getting more signal to your FM tuner with less “flutter” and “fading.”

The ST-2 FM Antenna is also less susceptible to “multipath interference,” due to its unique vertical polarization.

Lyra SPT
$50.

(SPT) is a purified water-based, non-alcohol stylus cleaner that helps keep cartridge styli scrupulously clean.

In addition to highly purified water, SPT contains only very small amounts of organic chemical cleaning agents. SPT has proven to be completely safe to use with all phono cartridges (not only LYRA’s).

Whatever the cartridge, excessive amounts of liquid should never be applied to the stylus and cantilever.

A key component of SPT is the accompanying brush which has been designed with super-soft bristles. Thanks to the bristles it is OK to drag the brush across the diamond stylus of the cartridge. Most other stylus brushes on the market have harder bristles that are not gentle with the diamond stylus, and could potentially cause damage. Even the LYRA brush must not be allowed to come into contact with any other part of the cartridge.

Michell Engineering TecnoWeight
$179.

John Michell, one of audio’s best known and most respected audio engineers, designed this versatile, precision-engineered, geometrically correct counterweight system, suitable for all Rega arms and their various derivatives. This all stainless steel device will fit the Rega RB100/101/202/250/300/301/303/600/700/900/1000 arms and their variants such as Moth, Audio Note, Goldring, and Origin Live OL-1 arms. (Will NOT fit any other OL arms). The TecnoWeight will handle a wide range of cartridges, with weights from 3g to 13g. This versatility is achieved by supplying two different counterweights for cartridges in the 3-6g and 6-13g ranges. (For heavier cartridges Like the ZU, you will also need to purchase the Extra Heavy Counterweight below). The chosen counterweight is fitted to a slider bush that travels on a new, stainless steel stub shaft. An aluminum vernier knob that screws onto the rear of the stub shaft allows precise, calibrated adjustment of tracking weight in increments of one tenth of a gram. The Counterweight itself is underslung below the main axis of the arm tube to bring the centre of gravity of the whole arm tube assembly in line with the stylus tip. The TecnoWeight’s precision engineering and fine adjustment capability provides a significant sound improvement. The replacement of the plastic stub shaft and large diameter counterweight, allow for much more control, precision and detail in musical reproduction. When used with RB300/301/303/600 arms, the TecnoWeight dispenses with the need to use the arm’s own somewhat questionable tracking force system, which further improves sound reproduction. The TecnoWeight is standard on Michell’s flagship TecnoArm.

Hunt EDA Mk 6
$30.

The fibers are in two rows with a static grounding pad centered between. The grounding pad supports the tiny carbon fibers and keeps them erect so they can dig down deep into the groove and extract trapped dust. Look at a record; it contains microscopic undulations inside the groove wall smaller than a human hair that the naked eye cannot see. This is how music is stored on an lp. And this is why fat pads will not do.

A fat pad can’t get down into the groove. It simply brushes over the top and removes the surface dust. The real culprit is the dust that’s trapped deep in the record groove. The only way to remove this dust is with the hunt eda

Grado PS 1000e
$1695.

This hybrid design has an inner sleeve of hand-crafted mahogany made by using the new series ‘e’ curing process. Its outer housing, machined from aluminum then chrome-plated, utilizes a special processing and casting method to increase the porosity of the alloy. This combination of wood and metal insures that the earphone chamber has no ‘ringing’ which might obscure detail or add coloration. The way the wood and metal housing moves air and reacts to sound vibrations is virtually unaffected by transient distortions. Grado has also designed the cable for the PS1000e; the twelve-conductor cable design uses UHPLC (Ultra-High Purity, Long Crystal) copper, improves control and stability of the total range of the frequency spectrum. The PS1000e also has a new 50mm driver and a newly re-configured voice coil and diaphragm design, resulting in unsurpassed speed and accuracy responses.

Grado PS 500e
